- It is normally best for three people to be involved in photographing your pet: one to hold the pet, one to attract its attention and one to take the picture.
- Try to get your pet to look slightly to the left or right of the person taking the photograph, whilst looking alert or in a pose that brings out his/her character.
- It is very important to come down to the same level of the subject. Sit on the floor if necessary.
- Try to get the photograph with the pets mouth closed. It does make for a better portrait, although this may not always be possible.
